Grants that help you rebuild

Every £250 we fundraise opens a micro-grant for our community. These are small, powerful grants designed to help you invest in yourself as you rebuild — whether that's exploring therapy, investing in your physical health, or taking a step toward reclaiming your confidence and identity. The money is yours to put toward options that matter to you in your healing journey. It doesn't matter when your abuse happened — this grant is for women at any stage of recovery who are ready to take a step forward.

What can the grants be used for?

Below you'll see the two options available for your micro-grant. Each one addresses a different part of rebuilding after abuse. As our fundraising grows, we're committed to building more options so your grant can go toward what matters most to you. If you know an organisation or service we should be partnering with, we'd love to hear from you.

THERAPY

RUNNING KICKSTARTER PACKAGE

COULD YOU PARTNER WITH US?

Why Therapy?

Therapy after abuse isn't a luxury — it's a tool for reclaiming yourself. Abuse often leaves deep wounds… shame, trauma responses, disconnection from your body and your sense of safety. Therapy helps you process what happened, rebuild trust (in yourself and others), and develop tools to move forward.

Benefits of therapy for women rebuilding post-abuse:

  • Processing trauma in a safe space with a trained professional

  • Rebuilding self-worth and challenging shame narratives

  • Learning grounding techniques for managing anxiety or flashbacks

  • Reconnecting with your body after abuse

  • Developing healthy boundaries and relationships

  • Breaking cycles of self-blame or perfectionism

  • Finding your voice again

Why Running?

Running — or any movement practice — is a profound act of reclamation. It's about inhabiting your body again, building strength (both physical and mental), and proving to yourself that you're capable. Many women find running meditative, empowering, and a way to process emotion without words.

Benefits of running for women rebuilding post-abuse:

  • Reclaiming your body as yours, not something that happened to you

  • Building physical and mental strength

  • Release of endorphins, which support mood and resilience

  • A solo practice that builds independence and confidence

  • Community through running groups (if wanted)

  • Tangible progress you can feel and see

  • A practice of showing up for yourself, over and over

  • Processing emotion through movement

Both therapy and running are options that allow you to invest in yourself. Choosing to heal, and choosing to rebuild. That's what these grants are for.
